You dont need to spend alot of money on chemicals and cleaners. I have been cleaning cars for about 10 years and I have a garage full of cleaners, polishes, wax, and brushes. One of my favorite cleaners is Simple Green. Mix with water in a squirt bottle and use on door jambs, greasy steering wheels, cup holders, center consoles, and more. I would not use Simple Green on carpet or upholstery because I prefer Armor All Multi-Purpose Auto Cleaner. I spray full strength on carpet and tough stains and then use a carpet shampooer to pull out the stain. Works Great. You could spend from $2.00 to $10.00 for a bottle of cleaner and only use a small amount on each vehicle. If the cleaner works well, its well worth the money. They save time and muscles.

I use fine steel wool (000) or (4000) with the chrome polish to clean up CHROME bumpers and grills.
(Test in hidden area to make sure its real chrome and not imitation) Then polish off with a dry towel. You can remove rust stains, bugs, tar, and overspray paint from the chrome this way. Be careful not to scratch any the painted surfaces around the bumpers or grill area.
